Despite the pandemic SW Rotary has been fortunate in attracting some very qualified new members to our Club recently. Welcome Josh Munson, Susan Duffin, Chas Holmes, Kim & Bryan Eglet and Jennifer Hawks-Conright. Great to have you in our Club!

Past Presidents gathered last week to surprise the Club's new President-Elect, Dirk Bernd. It was a cold night in Taylor Stormo's back yard as the group hid out until Dirk was called out back and tapped as our President-Elect for the 2022-2023 term. Dirk is a long-time SW Rotarian and a great choice to lead our Club going forward! Congratulations, Dirk!

It was a busy weekend last weekend for SW Rotarians. Gifts were collected for area school kids! Blankets were made for our annual GIVE BACK GIVE WARMTH campaign (home edition). And bell ringers for the Salvation Army hit several area supermarkets raising funds for this great cause. President Martin kept us very busy!

SW Rotarians enjoyed a beautiful drive thru Christmas lights show  at State Fair Park in a socially distanced but very fun event! Thanks to our Social Committee for arranging this wonderful family friendly social!

SW Rotarians took a walk on a cold Saturday morning in October in support of Wellness House. Over $1,200 was raised by donations from the walkers in our Club! Service Above Self!

Rotarians from all three local Clubs gathered tons of food Saturday October 3rd during the 2020 OPERATION HARVEST! The results exceeded expectations. Thanks to all who helped out!

SW Rotarians gather at the Public House of Yakima on Tuesday September 9th for their first time together since June! Great to see everyone, masks and all. A fun time was had by all!

SW Rotarians and others spent four hours Saturday morning September 19th cleaning brush off the Greenway, clearing about 1/2 mile along the bike trail. Hard work but nice results!

Large numbers of SW Rotarians, and other Rotarians, families and friends walked a 5K Saturday August 22nd in support of Rotary International's END POLIO NOW campaign. Almost $1,600 was raised in the effort. Service above self!

SW Rotary obtains funds to support Neighborhood Health!

District 5060 established a COVID Disaster Relief fund for district clubs.  We applied for and received a $1,000 grant on behalf of Neighborhood Health.  They will use these funds to purchase PPE and offset the increased cost related to adapting to safe social distancing protocols. Thanks to President Martin for making this happen. Service Above Self...
