SW Rotarians gathered at the new Public House (East) of Yakima Tuesday October 26th to celebrate a fun break from meetings! A good time was had by all!
 
President Taylor Stormo hands Salvation Army Lt. Meagan Ruff a $1,000 check in support of the SA's many contributions to our area. Meagan joined our meeting last Tuesday to talk about the SA's efforts to improve life for people in the Yakima area. Our Club is proud to be supporting their efforts.
 
Operation Harvest a big success! SW Rotarians and others gathered Saturday October 9th to collect food throughout the Yakima area. Lots of food was collected. It was a fine day with lots of volunteers. Well done!
 
Rotarians and others gathered Saturday for a Community Cleanup in the neighborhood near YVCC. Despite the rain much was accomplished and hard work did much to make the area look great! Job well done!
 
Two new members join the AWESOMEST Club! They are Elliot Ries and Mike Goettl. Glad to have these fine new additions to our membership. Welcome Elliot and Mike!
 

SW Rotarians gathered at the home of Caroline & Craig Sundquist to enjoy time together (and fresh squeezed apple juice courtesy of George Allan!) in early September. A good time was had by all!
 
Congratulations to Corday Trick AND Lynn Gilmore for receiving Paul Harris awards at this week's Rotary meeting. Corday earned a Paul Harris +2 for his many years of contributions to Rotary International. Lynn earned her first Paul Harris for years of hosting youth exchange students, and for her many community service efforts. Congratulations to both!
 
5050 District Governor Richard DeRock stopped by SW Rotary on Tuesday July 27th. He complimented the energy and success of our Club, and wished us much success in President Taylor's upcoming Rotary year!
 
SW Rotarians joined other Rotarians in supporting the Rotary Trust Golf Tournament Friday July 23rd at the Yakima Country Club. A beautiful, hot day included lots of bogies and laughs by all. Tressa Mercy ran the event and all went well. Thanks, Tressa!
 
A group of SW Rotarians gathered on Saturday July 17th to remember our collegue Dick Johnson, who died unexpected of Covid-19 related issues in March. Dick was a big-time Cougar fan, and thus he was remembered at the Cowiche Creek Brewery. A toast was raised in his name to honor our missing friend.
