Club membership actually grew during the last 14 months of pandemic. And as in-person meeting resume we are happy to introduce our two newest members, Tim Madden of Decco US and Dan Maycock of Loftus Labs. Welcome to the AWESOMEST Club!

After 14 months of ZOOM meetings due to the pandemic SW Rotarians gathered again in person at Apple Tree Golf Course to host our first meeting amongst friends and guests. An excited crowd of Rotarians enjoyed the sun and fellowship after a long absence apart. A good time was had by all!

Two SW Rotarians made the Yakima Herald list of young talent in our Valley (people under age 39!). Congratulation to Lizzie Lemon & Chris Nesmith for being recognized as leaders in our community. Well deserved by both!

Pies fly into the faces of President Martin and President-Elect Taylor Stormo. Both were pie'd in thanks to the successful club annual auction....ADVENTURES AROUND THE WORLD. Members worked hard to put on this online event in these Covid times. A fine result led both to take one for the team!

Nice to see the three local Rotary Club Presidents ... Sue Price-Scott, Martin Streich and Jennifer Bliesner gathering yesterday with fellow Rotarians to highlight the new Rotary Park At The Greenway. Greenway Director Kellie Connaughton talked about this exciting new playground going in to replace the McGuire Playground. The project is currently scheduled for this June.

Another exciting Rotary contribution to our community...

Despite the pandemic SW Rotary has been fortunate in attracting some very qualified new members to our Club recently. Welcome Josh Munson, Susan Duffin, Chas Holmes, Kim & Bryan Eglet and Jennifer Hawks-Conright. Great to have you in our Club!

Past Presidents gathered last week to surprise the Club's new President-Elect, Dirk Bernd. It was a cold night in Taylor Stormo's back yard as the group hid out until Dirk was called out back and tapped as our President-Elect for the 2022-2023 term. Dirk is a long-time SW Rotarian and a great choice to lead our Club going forward! Congratulations, Dirk!

It was a busy weekend last weekend for SW Rotarians. Gifts were collected for area school kids! Blankets were made for our annual GIVE BACK GIVE WARMTH campaign (home edition). And bell ringers for the Salvation Army hit several area supermarkets raising funds for this great cause. President Martin kept us very busy!

SW Rotarians took a walk on a cold Saturday morning in October in support of Wellness House. Over $1,200 was raised by donations from the walkers in our Club! Service Above Self!

Rotarians from all three local Clubs gathered tons of food Saturday October 3rd during the 2020 OPERATION HARVEST! The results exceeded expectations. Thanks to all who helped out!
